Does the Laser cause Textural Changes to the Skin?
It is possible for minor textural changes to occur in the skin after laser treatment. These changes are rare and typically temporary when they do occur. Often any textural change that occurs during laser treatment corrects itself within a few months after the last laser treatment. Some may take longer to resolve, while others, on extremely rare occasion, may be permanent.
At Vanish if textural changes begin to occur, the recommendation is to push treatment out another week or two. This allows more time for the skin to return to normal before another laser treatment is performed. As always if you have any questions about your treatment or how your body is responding to laser treatment, feel free to call the office. Our certified laser specialists will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
