During a treatment, our Astanza Etherea IPL-Sq handpiece emits light onto the unwanted acne. The light energy targets the bacteria responsible for causing the acne, converts to heat, and destroys both the bacteria and the sebaceous bulb itself.
Most patients require 4 to 8 treatments for effective results, however, patients should see results within 1 to 2 days following the beginning of treatment. You may experience a slight warming sensation during treatment and some redness following treatment. This treatment requires no downtime whatsoever.
