At Vanish, we use one of the world’s most advanced skin treatment lasers, the Astanza Etherea MX laser and Astanza Eternity ruby laser laser system. This Q-switched Nd:YAG laser is highly effective at removing a wide range of skin discolorations – with only minimal side effects

The following are an example of what Vanish can help you with using the Nd:YAG laser:

  • Age Spots
  • Sun Damage/ melasma
  • Birthmarks
  • Lentigo
  • Nevi
  • Freckles
  • Port Wine Stains
  • Café Au Lait spots
  • Discolorations in the epidermis or Dermis
  • Skin Rejuvenation to achieve more youthful-looking skin

The laser targets the skin pigment and causes the pigment particles to shatter. This allows the body to absorb and expel the unwanted color in a natural process. This laser is an FDA approved medical laser.

No. The laser targets the pigmentation, not the skin cells, leaving the skin cells intact and undamaged. Our laser is also specifically designed to only travel deep enough into the skin to target the ink and pigment, not the deeper skin cells that cause scarring. There is no need to be concerned about scarring unless you have a history of keloid scarring, and you will discuss this with the technician during your intake at Vanish.

The treatment has mainly discomfort (versus pain) which we can decrease even more by using our cooling machine. As you can see from the video, the gentleman can easily talk and joke while the treatment is occurring. Most of the muscle motion is just a flinch reflex. Most state: “It’s not bad at all.”

IPL, or a pulsed light photofacial, is a quick procedure to rejuvenate the skin with little to no downtime. IPL stands for ‘Intense Pulsed Light’. Rather than a laser, this treatment selectively applies light to revitalize the skin without causing any of the side effects associated with laser or chemical peels.

It requires multiple sessions to work through the layers of pigment and catch the skin in it’s replenishment cycle. Typical age spot and discoloration removal takes only 1-4 sessions.

In your free consultation, our staff will discuss the probable number of sessions you will need for your issue.

Cost depends on the size of the area of discoloration/spots the patient wants removed. Sessions start at $125 each, and we’re more than happy to give you an estimate during your free consultation. An estimate may be given over the phone, but for the most accurate number, we highly recommend you come talk to us for free. We also know once you see our spa-like facility, you’ll be right at home and know you’ve found the right place for you procedure!

Discounts are available for multiple areas you want us to work on during the same session.

You’ll find we are very competitive in our pricing, especially considering the superior effectiveness of our procedure.

No! It is very confusing when you are looking at your options. Our lasers are capable of producing multiple wavelengths. This typically allows the removal of the entire spectrum of colors, which is considered the cutting edge of laser skin treatments.

BEFORE LASER REMOVAL: NOSE MELASMA

AFTER LASER REMOVAL: NOSE MELASMA

Often spots will lighten or darken temporarily after the treatment and then slough off in a few days, revealing a smoother and more even skin tone. Several sessions are typically required to completely remove the coloration. This can be determined on a case-by-case basis.

In very dark-skinned patients, the wavelengths of the laser will be attracted to the pigment in your skin and break up some of it. These will cause a temporary de-pigmentation of your skin. Your skin will repopulate the area with pigment over a period of months and your skin will look completely normal. Again, it is a temporary discoloration.

In medium-colored patients (middle eastern, Mediterranean, Hispanic,) the laser can also cause a darkening effect in the area that is also temporary and will return to normal over a period of months.
